The University baseball nine will play the Carlisle Indians at 4 o'clock this afternoon on Soldiers Field. As this is the first game with the Indians since 1901 and as they have not played against any teams on the University schedule, it is impossible to estimate the outcome of the game this afternoon. In 1901 the University nine won by a score of 20 to 4. Castle will pitch this afternoon and Bolton will play third base as Carr is out of the game temporarily with an injured hand.
The batting order of the University team will be: Greenough, r.f.; Stephenson, c.; Randall, 1b.; Matthews, s.s.; Fischel, l.f.; Kernan, 2b.; McCarty, c.f.; Bolton, 3b;. Castle, p.
The team last night elected as captain for the remainder of the year, P. Carr '04, who has played third base on the nine for three years. He prepared at the Cambridge Latin School where he played on the team three years and was captain in his last year.
