The third round and semi-finals of the interscholastic tennis tournament were played yesterday afternoon on Jarvis Field. At three o'clock today the final round will be played between L. C. Westfall and N. W. Niles, both of Boston Latin School. In the preliminary and second rounds, which were played on Monday, Boston Latin School secured a lead which was made decisive yesterday when Westfall and Niles reached the finals.

The most closely contested match yesterday was between H. W. Niles, of Boston Latin School, last year's winner of the tournament, and J. F. McDonald, of Browne and Nichols School, last year's runner-up. Niles, however, finally won by steadier playing than his opponent.

Following is the ranking of the schools by points: Boston Latin School 11, Browne and Nichols School 7, Volkmann School 6, Cambridge Latin School 2, Chelsea High School 1, Brookline High School 1.
