PRINCETON GAME TODAY

The University baseball nine will play Princeton at Princeton this afternoon at 3 o'clock.

Last year the team lost to Princeton on Soldiers Field by the score of 6 to 5 in the most sensational game of the season, and the year before, lost by the score of 7 to 0 in a game played in the rain. The Princeton team this year has been so erratic that it is difficult to judge the chances in the game this afternoon. At the beginning of the season it lost two games to Georgetown by scores of 1 to 0 and 5 to 4, and on April 23 it was defeated by Brown, 7 to 3. Last Wednesday, however, it defeated Brown by a score of 15 to 5. In the series with Pennsylvania, Princeton lost the first game, 8 to 3, on May 7, and won the second, 7 to 4 on May 21. The unsteadiness of the team has been principally at the bat and in the box. Stevens has in several games been batted out of the box, and both Byram and Underhill have also been erratic.

If the University team plays with the determination and alertness which it showed in the Pennsylvania and Georgetown games, and exhibits the same ability to face critical moments successfully, the chances of victory this afternoon should be good.

With the exception of Forsythe and Cooney, Princeton's team will be the same as that of last year.
