With the exception of the distance men, the University track team left for New York on the Fall River boat yesterday afternoon, on its way to Philadelphia, where the preliminary trials for the annual intercollegiate track games will commence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock on Franklin Field. As there are no preliminary trials in the mile and two mile runs, the men who are to take part in these events will not leave Cambridge until this afternoon.
