Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
The three University crews were out on the river as usual yesterday afternoon. A fair amount of improvement, as a result of the work of the past week, was apparent. The first University, in a mile brush yesterday with the crew of the Union Boat Club, was beaten by about a length and a quarter in an upstream race from the Union Boat, Club to the Harvard Bridge. The time was five minutes flat. In the order of the first, the only change was that Bowditch rowed 7 in place of Duffy, who is sick. The second and third crews took only a very short row.
The second University will race the Cornell second, over a two-mile course, Saturday, May 28, on Lake Cayuga, New York. The Freshman crew will row against Worcester High School, on Lack Quinsigamond, on the same date. Thus far it has shown steady improvement in its work. Yesterday Bacon stroked in place of Farley, as the latter is sick, and Goodale took Bacon's place at 4.
The work of the graded crews for the last ten days has been very inconsistent, owing to the irregular reporting of the men.
