1907 vs. Groton in Baseball,

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

This afternoon the Freshman baseball team will play Groton at Groton. Despite the severe defeat of the Freshmen by Andover last Wednesday, the team has shown some improvement during the past week, although the fielding is still weak. In the infield the men are inclined to be erratic, especially in the handling of thrown balls, while the out-fielders are slow in starting and lack confidence. In batting, the men show a little better form, and have learned to time the ball fairly well.

The Groton team is rather undeveloped this year. Although the fielding is fairly accurate, the batting of the team is weak.

The batting orders follow: Harvard 1907.  Groton. Dexter, 3b.  s.s., Simons Russell, 2b.  r.f., Watson Giles, l.f.  p., J. Auchincloss Mahar, s.s.  c., Ladd Evans, 1b.  2b., Sturgis Hall, r.f.  1b., Cutting Grant or Sibley, c.f.  l.f., G. Auchincloss Sullivan, c.  3b., Rogers Brennan, p.  c.f., Hadden
