Spring football practice has been held every afternoon this week on Soldiers Field. The week thus far has been of the most elementary nature, and much attention has been given to kicking; the men are punting high with especial care in placing the ball. A new tandem formation for defense is being tried with good results. Short signal practice in which quick starting is required has put the men in much better condition than when they first came out.
Practice will continue through next week, and men who have not yet come out but wish to join the squad may do so on Monday. There will be no practice this afternoon.
