Tennis Courts Open for Play.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The tennis courts on Jarvis Field, although still very soft, were opened for play yesterday afternoon. Today they will be entirely raked over and rolled, and will probably be in condition for play by 11 o'clock. All the back stops have been repaired and are now in good condition: new wire netting has been put up in many places.

Work on the Holmes Field courts has been commenced and if the weather is favorable they should be ready for use by the end of this week. There are to be seven single courts and one double court.
