How Cambridge’s Political Power Brokers Shape the 2025 Election
The executive committee of the Alumni Association, acting at the instance of the class of 1879, has made arrangements with the New England passenger agent and through him with agents of other railroads, for reduced rates to be given to Harvard graduates during Commencement week. One third of the price of a return ticket from Cambridge, if the fare exceeds 75 cents, is to be paid, and in return the applicant will receive a certificate which he may exchange for his return ticket on presentation to a central office in Cambridge at a place to be determined later probably in one of the Yard buildings. This reduction will be allowed to all graduates of the University and their families, provided that 100 tickets are sold from each railroad district in which applications for the special rates have been made.
