Owing to a temporary extension of the dinner hour period at Memorial Hall a petition has been presented the steward by 60 out of the 95 waiters in the hall, demanding either shorter hours or a different scale of wages. If their demands are not granted by tomorrow the waiters threaten to go out on strike.
