Harvard Tied for Second Place in Preliminary Bouts.--Finals Today.

NEW YORK CITY, March 24.--Harvard finished third in the preliminary bouts of the intercollegiate fencing tournament tonight at the New York Athletic Club Annapolis was first and Cornell second, the other teams finishing in the following order: Columbia, West Point, Pennsylvania, Yale. The final bouts will be fought tomorrow evening.

The standing of the teams is as follows:   Won.  Lost Annapolis,  16  2 Cornell,  10  5 Harvard,  9  4 Columbia,  8  5 West Point,  5  6 Pennsylvania,  4  9 Yale,  2  14
