Track Work in the Stadium.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

During the past few days, owing to the illness of Mr. Graham, the track team candidates have been practicing under the direction of P. Dana '04. The new track inside the Stadium has been completed and although still soft, has settled and gives evidence of being very fast. New candidates are daily increasing the squad, but more men are needed in the field events, especially in the hammer throw and shot put. The distance men have abandoned running on the road for work on the track, while candidates for the shorter distances are being started with the pistol. Three take-offs have been constructed for the high-jump, pole-vault, and broad-jump. It is not too late for candidates wishing to join the squad to do so, and men who have had any experience in the field events are urged to come out.
