There are bright prospects for a strong golf team this spring, as all but two members of the University team which won the intercollegiate championship last fall will play, and there is an abundance of excellent material with which to fill the vacancies. The following men may play at the Brookline Country Club from May 1 to June 1: U. A. Murdock '04, H. C. Egan '05, R. D. Lapham '05, P. D. Lamson '05, P. A. Proal '05, M. McBurney '06, F. H. Ellis '06, F. Thierot '06, S. S. Sands '07, G. W. Sands '07. The following men may play during May at the Oakley Golf Club: L. Carpenter '04, H. Otis '04, H. R. Sedgwick '04, A. Crocker, Jr., '05, A. C. Travis '05, F. W. Cloud '05, D. C. Fitz '05, J. O. Safford '05, L. A. Andrews '06, W. S. Bailey '07.

The matches for the University championship will be played over the Brookline Country Club course on the afternoons of May 9, 10, 11, and 12, the qualifying, round of 18 holes, eight men to qualify, coming on Monday, May 9, and the final match, at 18 holes, on Thursday, May 12. The interclass matches, which will be similar to those of last year, will be played in the latter part of May.
