Crew Practice Yesterday.

Yesterday the University eight stroked by Foster rowed two long stretches upstream. Later, the crews stroked by Brownell and Smith went down stream, but found the Basin so rough that they turned back, and rowed in short stretches between the bridges. Mr. Colson coached all three crews from the launch.

Dillingham and Filley did not go out yesterday, but will probably row again Monday. The orders were the same as Wednesday's except that Moller replaced Lloyd at bow in Foster's combination.

James Rice, recently coach of the Detroit Boat Club, who has been engaged to take Wray's place at the Weld, will begin his duties today and will remain at the club until June 17.

The "Veritas" is now in commission and will be used by the class crews until after the class races.
