Gift to Architectural Department.

Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Robinson, donors of Robinson Hall, have presented the University with a very valuable collection of original fragments of architecture. It contains a number of Corinthian capitals and Renaissance panels and vases. Among the most valuable acquisitions are a Roman carved anthemion frieze and a carved Roman acroterium, complete.

Professor M. L. Warren, while in Rome last summer, secured these from various dealers in antiquities. Professor R. Norton, director of the American School of Classical Studies in Rome, is selecting other fragments at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, as a part of the same gift.

The entire collection will be put in the Hall of Casts, at Robinson Hall.
