The Freshman basketball team defeated the Cambridge Manual Training School in an exciting game at the Gymnasium last night by the score of 10 to 8. Smith scored the winning basket for the Freshmen after eight minutes of over-time play. Roughness characterized the play of both teams especially during the last half. On the defense the Freshmen were strong, but the center and forwards missed many easy chances to score at short distances. Score--Freshmen, 10; Training School, 8. Goals--Smith 2, Reed, Burnham, Bunk, Cairns. Goals from fouls--Murray 2, Cairns 4.
