In the open novice fencing tournament held by the Fencers' Club in the Gymnasium on Wednesday evening first prize was won by W. MacLeod '05; T. Lage, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, second, and F. Low '07, third. The judges were: R. E. Daniels '05, R. S. Earle 2L., C. E. Nichols '07, H. W. Holmes 1G., H. J. Elam 3L., and W. B. Tyler, secretary of the American Fencing League Association.

The University team will meet Cornell at Ithaca next Friday and on the following day will fence West Point at West Point. Trials for this team will be held on Tuesday at the Boston Athletic Association. A quadrangular meet between Harvard. Yale, the University of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will be held in the Hemenway Gymnasium on March 4.

The Freshman fencing team will fence the St. James Fencing Club on March 5. Arrangements are also being made for a meet between the Freshman teams of Harvard, Yale, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
