Stephenson Won High Jump.

The first of two contests in high jumping, arranged in order to increase interest in that event, was held yesterday afternoon in the Gymnasium, and was won by B. T. Stephenson '08, who jumped 5 feet 4 1-2 inches. R. E. Somers '08 and N. E. Olds '05 tied for second place, with jumps of 5 feet 3 1-2 inches, Olds winning the place on a toss. Twenty men were entered in the contest and first, second and possibly third prizes will be given. The second contest will be held next Wednesday and will be a handicap event.
