The novice shot putting contest, which was held in the Guymnasium yesterday afternoon, was won by B. T. Stephenson '08, with a put of 39 feet 3 inches. G. G. Class '08 was second, with a put of 34 test 4 inches, and C. J. Stevens third, with a put of 32 feet 8 inches. There vere no handicaps, and first and second prizes will be given.

No more novice contests will be held until after the Christmas recess.
