The graduates' performance of Regnard's "Les Folies Amoureuses" was given by the Cercle Francais last night in Brattle Hall. The work of the cast as a whole compared favorably with that of last year's play, and two of the parts were acted with almost professional skill and address. The stage setting is a great advance over anything that has yet been attempted by the Cercle.

G. L. Foote '08 as Crispin was inimitable. His flirtation scene with Lisette, well taken by G. A. Schneider '07, showed both the players at their best. Foote's accent and delivery were very good, Foremost among the other players, E. R. Riegel '08 as Agathe brought to his part consistency, ease of diction and characterization of an order unusual in amateur theatricals. W. M. Shohl '06 as Albert acted smoothly and took advantage of the few good situations in his part. The Clitandre of M. Werthelm '06 and the Eraste of F. Dexter '08, showed rather good reading of the lines, but were somewhat deficient in gesture and expression. After a minuet which was well trained and graceful, the Pierrot and Pierretto dance by P. Bigelow '08 and A. S. A. Brady '08 was executed with an abandon which brought four encores. The play is well worth seeing for this one dance alone.

The first public performance will be given in Brattle Hall this evening at 8 o'clock, and the second on Tuesday in Potter Hall, Boston, at 8.15 o'clock.
