Wretched Hockey Practice.

The University hockey team was completely outplayed by the second team in practice yesterday afternoon, and was defeated by a score of 4 goals to 0. Although the first team scored nine goals against the same second team on Monday, it played an exceedingly listless game yesterday and showed few signs of team work. The passing of the forwards was wild and the shooting inaccurate. A change in the line-up, by which Callaway moved from right center to left end, changing places with MacLeod, cannot be held responsible for the poor work. Of the second team, D. Wagstaff, Fraser-Campbell and Pell did the best individual work.

The line-up was as follows:

Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the first team will play a team from the Boston Hockey Club on the Stadium rink.

The second squad, which yesterday played against the Freshmen, has been disbanded until the class teams are called out, as the second rink is to be used entirely for the practice of the Freshman squad, which is unusually large this year. FIRST TEAM.  SECOND TEAM. Wilder, r.e.  l.e., C. Pell MacLeod, r.c.  l.c., Edgell, D. Wagstaff Townsend, l.c.  r.c., Egan, Rumsey Callaway, l.e.  r.e., Foster, Irving Newhall, c.p.  c.p., Fraser-Campbell, Aertsen, S. Wagstaff Grant, p.  p., Sard Tyer, g.  g., Morris, Tilden
