In a fast and well contested game the fall lacrosse team defeated the graduates on Soldiers Field yesterday by the score of 7 goals to 2. The graduates were strong in individual play and on the defense covered their opponents closely; but on the attack their work was not concerted enough to give them man chances for goals. The undergraduates besides being in better condition, had the advantage of the fall practice together, and showed several times in the game very effective team work. This game closes the fall practice.
Candidates for the University and Freshman teams will be called out early next spring for indoor practice in the elementary points of the game, and outdoor work will begin as soon as the weather permits. The class games, for which cups are given, will probably be held early in April, and immediately afterward a University squad will be picked.
