Basketball Practice and Schedule.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first practice of the basketball squads was held last night, and although somewhat crude, showed possibilities of good development. The abundance of experienced material this year should fully compensate for the loss of three of last year's University team.

Each class squad last night was divided into teams, which played a series of short matches. Captain J. F. Henderson '05 of the University team, and H. R. Snyder '05, captain of the Seniors, coached the 1905 squad. The Juniors were coached by E. L. Grant '06 and Captain J. R. Montgomery '06. C. Jones '06 coached the Freshmen. No coach has yet been appointed for the Sophomores.

The interclass series will be held the second week in December. The cups to be awarded the winners of this series, are now on exhibition at Thurston's.

At the close of the interclass series, the University team will be selected from the class teams.
