Four Freshman crews were on the river yesterday afternoon. The first two, made up of the best men on the squad rowed on sliding seats; the rest are still using stationary seats. The past week has witnessed a considerable development in the crews, but their form is still somewhat crude and the men are not rowing well together. Vail and Rice are coaching.
