The first of the series of lectures under the Godkin Lectureship by the Right Honorable James Bryce, M. P., will be given on Monday evening at 8 o'clock in Sanders Theatre. The general subject of the series will be "The Study of Popular Governments," and the special topic for the evening, "The Essentials of Free Governments, and the Duties of the Citizen."
The lecture will be open to the public, but seats on the floor and in the first gallery will be reserved for members of the University until 7.55 o'clock.
Other lectures in the series will be given on October 26, 28, 31, and November 3.
