CARLISLE INDIANS TODAY

On Soldiers Field at 3.--Hard Game Expected.--Yesterday's Practice.

The University football team will play the Carlisle Indian School eleven on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock. A difficult game is expected, on account of the soggy condition of the field, as the Indians are quick on wet ground.

There are five new men in the Indian line-up, and Libby, the Indian quarterback is considered to be the equal of last year's captain, Johnson. In the game between Carlisle and Albright at Carlisle last Saturday, which was won by Carlisle, 100 to 0, Libby kicked 15 goals out of a possible 17. The time the game was 31 minutes. The coaches of this year's Carlisle team have devoted considerable attention to end plays, which have been very successful recent games.

In secret practice yesterday the University eleven was hampered by rain, and the condition of the field made the footing very insecure. There were only two rushes in the scrimmage, and the best of the practice, which lasted but a short time, was devoted chiefly to punting. Both the first and second teams gained on exchanges, when aided by the end. On the last play McFadon scored touchdown for the second team, receiving the ball on the first eleven's 30- yard line after Shurtleff had blocked a kick by Leary. There was no other scoring. The line-up of the first team was the same as it will be in today's game, except that White played right guard. The second lined up as follows: l.e., Randall; l.t., O'Connell; l.g., Brown; c., Fraser; r.g., McFadon; r.t., Davie; r.e., Shurtleff; q.b., Kerans; l.h.b., Osbourne r.h.b., Wendell; f.b., Hanley.

The line-up today will be as follows:
