In Holden Chapel at 4.30 o'clock this afternoon Professor W. R. Spalding will give a brief lecture on the Fourth Symphony of Beethoven and the Tannhauser Overture of Wagner, to be followed by selections on the Aeolian Orchestrelle. This is the second of a series of weekly public lectures explaining the significance of the music played by the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall. Each Wednesday Professor Spalding will comment upon the works to be given at the concerts of the following Friday afternoon and Saturday evening.
