The University Chess Club has appointed the following captains of the teams to play in the class tournament, which will be held immediately after mid-years: Senior team, L. P. Carr; Junior, S. W. Howland; Sophomore, Q. A. Brackett; Freshman, W. C. Cogswell; Graduate, L. W. Flaccus 3G. The teams, which are to be composed of three men, will be chosen by the captains. The Sophomore team will play the Freshman team and the winners in this match will play the Graduates. Whatever team is the winner at this point, plays the winners of the Senior-Junior match for the championship.
After mid-years the club will hold a kings gambit tournament, open to members. An entrance fee of twenty-five cents will be charged and the winner will be awarded a cup or medal. Entries for this tournament may be sent to P. W. Bridgman '04, Thayer Hall 43.
