Rough Basketball Practice.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the last hard practice before the Pennsylvania game, the University basketball team defeated the second team yesterday by a score of 20 to 18. Almost the entire practice was discouraging, and only for brief periods did the men show the team work which was so marked earlier in the week. Fumbling and rough playing were also frequent on both sides. Tomorrow the practice will be held for the first and second teams only in order that the men may receive individual coaching and practice in signals. The second team will play the Nashua High School at Nashua next Saturday afternoon.

Fourteen candidates reported for Freshman practice and held two short practice halves. The Freshman team will play Tufts freshmen next Saturday evening at 8 o'clock in the Gymnasium. No admission fee will be charged.

The line-up yesterday was: UNIVERSITY.  SECOND. Underwood, l.f.  r.f., Henderson Grant, r.f.  l.f., Gallagher Randall, c.  c., K. Smith Bigelow, l.g.  r.g., Griffiths Gring, r.g.  l.g., Stinchfield
