Dr. Edward Peters of Boston, who has been appointed lecturer in the metallurgical department, will give during the second half of this year, a series of twenty-five lectures on "The Metallurgy of Copper." These lectures will constitute a part of a course in general metallurgy. Dr. Peters is an eminent authority on the subject of the science of copper smelting and has had for many years a wide practical experience in metallurgical work. He is the author of a publications on "Modern Copper Smelting," which is considered the best existent treatise on the subject.
