As the Holmes Field rink had not been entirely cleared of snow, the University hockey team held no outdoor practice yesterday afternoon. The men were, however, given hard exercise in the Gymnasium.
The Freshman team was yesterday defeated by Pomfret in a very rough game by the score of 4 to 0. As in previous games the lack of team-work was chiefly responsible for the defeat, but the passing was also very poor and the men slow on their skates. The work as a whole was distinctly inferior to that in the practice game against the University team on Tuesday.
