St. Paul's Defeats 1907 Hockey Team.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In its first game of the year, the Freshman hockey team was defeated by St. Paul's School at Concord on Saturday afternoon, by a score of 4 to 0. Poor defense and lack of team-work--due largely to prevention of practice by the recent unfavorable weather--were chiefly responsible for the defeat; slowness and unfamiliarity with the use of the sides of the rink also contributed to it. All St. Paul's scores were made in the first, half and in the second the Freshmen played as well as their opponents.

The line-up was as follows: 1907.  ST. PAUL'S SCHOOL. Lowery, r.e.  l.e., Beste Edgell, r.c.  l.c., Irving von Stade, l.c.  r.c., Benghman Gowen, l.e.  r.e., Cowdin, Brown Nichols, c.p.  c.p., Coit Widener, p.  p., Willetts Gunther, g.  g., Anderton

Goals--Cowdin 3, Irving 1. Time--20-minute halves.
