In a practice game of two fifteen-minute halves on the Holmes Field rink, the University hockey team yesterday defeated the Cambridge Latin School by a score of 10 goals to 1. The play on both sides was fast and spirited, but at times rough. The University players showed considerable improvement in shooting, but were still very weak in passing and often played out of their positions. The school team exhibited much better team work. After the game, the first and second teams played a spirited twenty-minute half, the first team forwards playing on the second; neither side scored.

The line-up in the game was as follows: HARVARD.  CAMBRIDGE LATIN SCHOOL. Newhall, r.e.  l.e., Rogers Souther, r.c.  l.c., Taylor Wilder, l.c.  r.c., Paine, Beard Townsend, l.e.  r.e., Potter Clothier, c.p.  c.p., Taft Carr, p.  p., Burton Ivy, g.  g., Saul

Goals--Souther 3, Wilder 3, Newhall 2, Townsend 2, Taylor. Referee--Callaway.
