PLANS OF THE SHOOTING CLUB.

At a meeting of the Shooting Club yesterday afternoon, it was definitely decided to hold the practice, class and trophy shoots on the grounds at Wellington. "Expert" traps are used there and a good back-ground and satisfactory facilities are offered. Wellington is reached by a ten-minute ride from the North Station or a five-minute ride from East Somerville. Convenient trains leave the North Station at 1.47, 2.45, and 3.10 o'clock, and it it expected that with the present settled arrangements more men will come out. A novice cup has been offered for men who have never shot on a team or won a cup. There will be three shoots for this cup, each competitor to shoot at twenty birds.

In the interclass tournament there will be three men on each team, in place of four as originally announced. Each man will shoot at fifty birds at unknown angles. In the preliminary rounds of the tournament the Seniors will shoot against the Juniors, and the Sophomores against the Freshmen. The two winning teams will shoot in two out of three matches in the final round for the class championship, the third match to be shot only in case of a tie. Cups will be given to the members of the winning team. The captains of the three upper-class teams have been chosen as follows: 1904, W. M. Wright; 1905, N. C. Ward; 1906, J. Hinckley; the Freshman captain will be appointed in a few days. Members of the class teams will be chosen by the team captains.

The schedule of the club's shoots has been announced as follows: January 20, novice shoot; January 27, Seniors vs. Juniors; February 3, novice shoot; February 10, practice shoot; February 17, Sophomores vs. Freshmen; February 24, Bancroft Cup shoot; March 3, novice shoot; March 10, first final interclass shoot; March 17, Bancroft Cup shoot; March 24, second final interclass shoot; March 31, final interclass shoot (in case of tie), or practice shoot; April 7, DuPont Handicap Cup shoot; April 14, Bancroft Cup shoot.

The intercollegiate shoot between Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Pennsylvania, the four universities composing the Intercollegiate Shooting Association, will take place in New Haven on Saturday, May 7. Each team will be made up of five men who will each shoot at 50 birds at unknown angles. An attempt has been made to have Cornell and Columbia join the association in time to take part in this shoot.
