The Hon. Charles S. Fairchild '63, L.L.B. '65, a prominent lawyer of New York City, will speak before the Seminary of Economics in Harvard 1 at 8 o'clock this evening on "The Financing of Corporations." From 1885 to 1887 Mr. Fairchild was Assistant Secretary of the United States Treasury, and Secretary from 1887 to 1889. In 1897 he was appointed a member of the Monetary Commission by the Executive Committee of the Indianapolis Monetary Conference. Mr. Fairchild is an Overseer of the University, president of the Harvard Club of New York City, secretary of the New York State Charities Aid Association, and a trustee of the New York Life Insurance Company.

The lecture will be open to members of the University only.
