New Smelting Furnace

The lead smelting furnace, the gift of the Frazer and Chalmers Company of Chicago, has recently arrived. During the coming summer the furnace and the blower given by the Wilbrahan-Green Company of Philadelphia will be installed in the Heat Room of the Simpkins Laboratory. This will be a valuable addition to the laboratory faculties in courses in metallurgy. The entire gift is valued at about $1,000.
