Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
A new four-year course in forestry has been instituted in the Lawrence Scientific School, to begin next fall. The greater part of the work to be included in this course has been offered for some years in the form of separate courses in the Scientific School. Part of these courses have been given in the various University buildings and others at the Bussey Institution and Arnold Arboretum. The additional courses to be added will be largely technical and will be given by Mr. R. T. Fisher '98, recently appointed an instructor in forestry, and another instructor not yet announced.
The details of the course have not been fully determined, but will be provisionally announced within a short time. For the present all parts of the course will be given in the various departments of the University, but it is expect that the department will ultimately have the privilege of working in many of the vast forests in New England and the West, and much of the instruction will then be given in the field.
