On account of Professor Channing's absence from the University next year on sabbatical leave, Professor F.J. Turner of the University of Wisconsin has been engaged to lecture in the Department of History. Professor Turner will give History 10b, a new half-course dealing with the development of the American West; History 23, a half-course on Monroe's Administration; and together with Professor Hart will conduct History 20e, a seminar in American History and Institutions. History 10 will not be given, but will be partly replaced by Professor Turner's course, History 10b.
