The University lacrosse team yesterday afternoon held its last practice before the game with the Cambridge-Oxford team on Soldiers Field tomorrow afternoon. Owing to the rain the practice was held in the Baseball Cage. The work was satisfactory despite the unfavorable conditions for fast play, the men passing and catching accurately and playing well together.
The English team sailed from Liverpool last Wednesday and is expected to reach New York City today, where the men will be welcomed by the British Consul and a committee from the Harvard Lacrosse Club of New York. The team will come immediately to Cambridge where they will probably stay until Friday evening. During this time the men will stay with members of the University team.
