The first matches in the University golf championship tournament which is to be held on the links of the Oakley Country Club will be played tomorrow afternoon beginning at 1.30 o'clock, when each contestant will play a qualifying round of 18 holes. The eight men making the best scores will play against each other on the first four days of next week, and the final match will be played a week from tomorrow. Unless all matches are played on the days assigned to them they will be considered forfeited.
