NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Tonight at 8 o'clock in the New Lecture Hall, Professor Santayana will give the second of the series of four memorial lectures, which were arranged by the department of philosophy in observance of the centennial of the birth of Ralph Waldo Emerson '21. The subject will be "Emerson as a Poet." Professor Santayana is especially fitted to speak on this subject as, besides being a well-known philosopher, he has written several books of verse, among which are: "Sonnets and Other Verses," "The Hermit of Carmel and Other Poems," and the drama "Lucifer." He is also the author of "Sense of Beauty" and "Poetry and Religion." The lecture will be open to the public.
