Reading from Emerson's Works

The reading by Mr. Copeland from the works of Ralph Waldo Emerson, arranged for by the Department of Philosophy in connection with the memorial lectures in observance of the centennial of Emerson's birth, will be given in the New Lecture Hall at 8 o'clock tonight. Mr. Copeland will read the following selections: "The Rhodors." "Brahma." "Days," "Threnody," "The Problem." "Good Bye, Proud World," "The Conquered Hymn" and parts of "Domestic Life" and of the address to the Harvard Divinity School. The reading tonight and the remaining lectures of the memorial series will be open to the public.
