Freshman Crew Work and Plans.

The tab Freshman crews are rowing from the Newell Boat Club every afternoon under the coaching of J. F. Perkins 3L. The individual material is fully as good as that of the average Freshman crew. The men as a whole, however, have at present a bad tendency to overreach and are unsteady on their stretches.

A race with the Worcester High School will rowed over a 1 1-2 mile course on Lake Quinsigamond on May 23. Arrangements are now being made with the Stone's school for a race in the Basin, probably on June 1. The race with the Yale freshman will be rowed over the regular course on the Thames on June 25. Definite arrangements have not yet been made for a four-oared race with the Yale freshmen, but it will probably be held a day or two before the eight-oared race.

The orders yesterday were as follows:

First crew--Stroke, Switzer; 7, Holingsworth; 6, Guild; 5, Burchard; 4, Judd; 3, Kellbgg; 2, White; bow, Flint; cox., Williams.

Second crew--Stroke, Shepard; 7, Gill; 6, Sabine; 5, Moller; 4, Clark; 3, Cabot; 2, Hyde; bow, Monro; cox., Borden.
