A number of radical changes were made yesterday in the orders of the University first and second crews, both of which had been rowing in the same orders since last Thursday. The most important shift was the substitution of McGrew for Dillingham at stroke in the first eight, Dillingham going to stroke in the second. This is the first time that McGrew has stroked the crew this season, he having been rowing regularly at 6. Wolcott, who has lately been stroking the second crew, was moved to 2 in the first, and Filley, who was formerly in this place was changed to 6. George was moved from bow in the second eight to 3 in the first, Hartwell going from 3 in the first to bow in the second.
The orders yesterday were as follows:
First crew--Stroke, McGrew; 7, Lawson; 6, Filley; 5, Duffy; 4, F. W. C. Foster; 3, George; 2, Wolcott; bow, Swaim; cox., Chase.
Second crew--Stroke, Dillingham; 7, Haycock; 6, R. Foster; 5, Ayer; 4, Derby; 3, Ober; 2, Webster; bow, Hartwell; cox., Ivy.
