NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The second nine, in its first game of the season, yesterday defeated the Cambridge Latin School team in a seven-inning game by a score of 12 to 4. The fielding of both teams was ragged, and most of the runs were made on errors. Tuckerman, for the second nine, pitched strongly after the first two innings, in which all of the Cambridge Latin School's runs were scored. Smith also did well in the box during the last two innings. The best batting was done by Greenough and Fischel.

Score by innings: 1  2  3  4  5  6  7 Second nine,  3  3  3  2  0  1  x-12 Cambridge L. S.,  1  3  0  0  0  0  0-4
