Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The University crew squad began work last Monday. Two eights were then formed which rowed on the river in the morning and in the afternoon during the first four days of the recess under the direction of coach Higginson. In the morning, when the men rowed for short stretches in fours and sixes, most of the time was spent in individual coaching; while in the afternoon, when the crews rowed in eights, special attention was paid to team work. The coaching aimed principally at lengthening out the stroke and getting a firm catch. The only long row was taken on Thursday when the two crews went over the three and a half mile course, from the Weld boathouse to the Union Boat Club. The orders of the two eights, as they rowed on Thursday, follow:
First crew--Stroke, Wolcott; 7, Lawson; 6, McGrew; 5, Duffy; 4, Foster; 3, Ayer; 2, Webster; bow, Swaim; cox., Litchfield.
Second crew--Stroke, Dillingham; 7, Hartwell; 6, Haycock; 5, Sanger; 4, Derby; 3, Locke; 2, Filley; bow, George.
The Freshman crew squad returned to Cambridge last Thursday and has been practicing steadily since then. The work last week was light, and was held with the main object of setting the preliminary details before the beginning of the regular work today. J. F. Ferkins 3L. had charge of the work and was assisted in the coaching by Vail and Wray. On Thursday the men rowed in nearly the same orders as they did in the class races, but on Friday first and second crews were picked as follows:
First crew--Stroke, White; 7, Hollingsworth; 6, Guild; 5, Burchard; 4, Pleasanton; 3, Kellogg; 2, Judd; bow, Flint; cox., Williams.
Second crew--Stroke, Shepard; 7, Gill; 6, Sabine; 5, Moller; 4, Switzer; 3, Corlett; 3, Hyde; bow, Monro; cox., Borden.
The crews rowed Saturday in the same orders as given above except that Guild went in at stroke and White at 6 in the first boat.
