The Freshman class will hold a debate with Exeter Academy at Exeter on May 8. The question, submitted by Exeter, is as follows: "Resolved, That the disfranchisement clauses of the new Alabama constitution are inexpedient." The Freshmen have the choice of sides.

The trials to select the Freshman team will be held on Monday, April 6, and on Thursday, April 9. At the first trial, which is to be held in the Assembly Room of the Union, each man will be allowed to speak five minutes, and six men will be retained to speak at the final trial, when the team of three men will be chosen. All members of the class, whether members of the Debating Club or not, may enter these trials. Names of all candidates must be sent to H. M. Wheeler, Perkins 9, before 5 o'clock Saturday.
