West Point Leads After First Day of Intercollegiate Tournament

NEW YORK. N. Y., March 27.--In the bouts fought last night in the eleventh annual intercollegiate fencing tournament, the University team made the lowest total score, winning only five bouts out of a possible seventeen. H. St. Gaudens '03 won two bouts; H. J. Elam 2L., two bouts; and T. D. Roberts '03, one. The total scores of the other teams were as follows: West Point, 16; Columbia, 15; Cornell, 9; Pennsylvania, 8; Yale, 7.
