Mr. C. S. Peirce on "Pragmatism"

Mr. Charles Sanders Peirce '59, will deliver the first of his series of six lectures under the auspices of the Department of Philosophy in Sever 11 at 8 o'clock tonight. The subject for the series in general is "Pragmatism as a Principle and Method of Right Thinking." "Pragmatism" is that system of philosophy, first so named by Mr. Peirce, which views philosophical questions primarily from the standpoint of their practical bearing upon life. The lecture tonight will be a definition of the system and an explanation of its terms.
