The candidates for the track team had regular practice yesterday on Soldiers Field. The track was in good condition considering the wet weather but as the take-offs were still soft, the high-jumpers and pole-vaulters did not practice. The sprinters, hurdlers and quarter-milers practiced starts from the gun, the half-milers ran three laps, the milers six and the two-milers eight. Only a few of the shot-putters and hammer-throwers practiced on account of the soft condition of the field.
